Bob Rannals Retires
May 2010

Mr. Robert A. Rannals has retired from Texas OilTech Laboratories as Director of Customer Care. Bob has had a long and distinguished background in the testing of fuels and lubricants, having spent twenty years at several positions with the United States Air Force.

Following his military career, Bob spent twenty years with SPL, Inc. (Southern Petroleum Laboratories) where he served as Corporate Technical Manager for their Hydrocarbons Laboratories. He brought a depth of knowledge of standardized testing procedures, both military and civilian, and has been our representative at ASTM International, where he served on several fuel testing committees.

Bob also managed our Quality Control program and laboratory accreditation programs. He spent countless hours interfacing with our customers and our laboratory personnel. He has been an inspiration to many of us at Texas OilTech Laboratories and he always brought a unique perspective to these contacts.

Bob and his wife, Peggy, will continue to make their home in Pasadena, Texas, where he looks forward in indulging in his hobby of photography at the air shows at Ellington Field.

We wish him well in his retirement and many happy years ahead.
