On-Site Testing in Napier, New Zealand- April 2004
Texas OilTech Laboratories’ lab director Phil Sorurbakhsh and staff chemist Roland Gore performed on-site testing on diesel fuels for the Pratt-Whitney Power Systems in Napier, New Zealand. The Texas OilTech team set up a mobile laboratory that provided test analysis data to Pratt-Whitney test personnel in a timely fashion, thus greatly reducing the length of the performance test cycle. Using state-of-the-art instrumentation, TOL was able to reduce the time of sampling to analysis from the normal two to three weeks to a matter of hours. Thus, not only was the long-wait period eliminated from the time of sampling to the time when the analysis results were received, but Texas OilTech Laboratories also managed to create high-rate of efficiency among all performance participants.

The senior level personnel used Texas OilTech equipment to provide on-site analysis testing for the Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research (KISC). Texas OilTech provided the testing of fuels necessary to operate the existing massive power complex in Bayji, Iraq, increasing the amount of electricity production in Iraq. Texas OilTech Laboratories is proud to have had a direct involvement in the reconstruction of Iraq’s infrastructure.
