Country Cork, Ireland - December 2003
Texas OilTech Laboratories’ personnel Greg Dimataris senior staff chemist and staff chemist Jeanine Malapaya recently arrived on-site in Country Cork, Ireland to set-up mobile laboratory in support of the upcoming performance testing. This mobile laboratory will provide test analysis data to test personnel in relatively short time, thus eliminating the long wait period of two to three weeks from sampling to receiving analysis results to perform heat rate and efficiency calculations.
POWER-GEN International - November 2003
Texas OilTech Laboratories will be participating at the upcoming POWER-GEN International held in Las Vegas, December 9 to 11, where our senior chemist Mr. Mitchell Martin will present his technical paper on fuel gas analysis during the Wednesday 10th session. Additional information will be posted after the conclusion of this event.
POWER-GEN Latin America - November 2003
Texas OilTech Laboratories participated in POWER-GEN Latin America conference and exhibit in São Paulo, Brazil. During this exhibit our representatives met with industry leaders in the power generation and distribution of the region.
Technical discussions were hold with SIEMENS, GE and other turbine manufacturers on status and quality of tests on fuels and lubricants.
The booth was visited by delegates from countries around the world and from Latin America region. A technical paper on benefits of on-site testing was available for delegates to review. Copies of this paper are available on this website.
San Lorenzo, Mexico - November 2003
Texas OilTech Laboratories’ personnel senior staff chemist Mitchell Martin and staff chemist Jeanine Malapaya recently completed the on-site analysis of natural Gas for SWPC. This analysis was required as a condition for first fire of the gas turbine.
Texas OilTech Laboratories’ personnel using Agilent Technologies® Micro GC performed a complete ASTM D 1945 test and provided the data to the SWPC test personnel within minutes of the sampling. This process enabled SWPC to prepare for first fire of the Gas Turbine in time to meet the performance test scheduled for December.
